This is an image from the new lens (on my wish/dream-on list) that I am borrowing from a Nikon rep. The image is res for the blog, but if you could SEE the high res that I see - the sweaters could cut like a knife - they are SO sharp - even in this really low evening light!

Don't ya just love their new outfits??? They are perfectly mismatched opposites!! Kinda makes you do a "double take"... you know, the kind that moves your head back and forth (rapidly) and makes your lips jiggle???

I just had to add this one... anyone ever use or hear of a lens baby? Well, I don't have one - but I do have the PS action;)

Remember the British/Asian twins from Austin Powers??? Well, my bff and I have ALWAYS wanted to go as them (not posting their names!! lol) - this year we finally had the chance. We did this for the Crawloween Pub Crawl. You see, we thought we were being really funny... but NO one had seen Austin Powers at first. Thank goodness a few showed up that knew who we were.

It took us several days to pull it off. Everyone is asking where we found the items...

photography studio: Image Source. So Dave (Image Source guy) has this old Vespa - too cool for the Austin Powers era! The prop was perfect for us. The Vespa was carefully balanced on the kick stand so we had to keep it steady... of course laughing ensued. This photo shoot was SO fun and funny!

080808 Wedding

One of my sorority sisters was remarried on 080808;) The weather was beautiful - but not as beautiful as my girl!!!

I thought this image was sweet. Her son holding the ring box as her new hubby reaches for the ring they designed together.

My current photo obsession is textures! gah! I can't get enough of them! Their first kiss (as husband and wifey).

I was excited to get this image! I forgot to give the bride heads up on WALKING EXTREMELY SLOW during the ceremony. All three of them just charged down the aisle after the wedding! The lens flare and the texture give it a funky vintage feeling.

As the sun set after 8:00 pm on 080808 lol, we were able to play around on the Corvette - the honeymoon car.

This is just about my favorite image of all time. The texture + midnight gold action make this romantic pose look wild, yet shabby.

Sweet baby Ben - little bro to twin sisters! They are the sweet peas of my buddy from the Indy twin's club. It was neat to see her twins in action. They are almost exactly a year older than my girls. They made pretty much the same noises as well as laughed, fought and played together!

OK.. so I swore I wasn't going to shoot any more weddings.... until I met this bride! I told her NO more than once - she begged - we had Starbucks - I caved. The bride PROMISED me it was going to be a FUN event - not a cookie cutter cathedral wedding. I'm thrilled she kept up her end of the bargain. See for yourself.... a fun, high energy bunch!

I'm knee deep into the busy fall photo season. Seniors & families for the most part - and a wedding to boot. Saturday was booked with 2 male seniors and Sunday it was 2 females - perfect balance. Here is Mr. H. He really knew how to put it on for the camera. Nice smiles, smirks, and a lot of goofy shots!

Sault Ste Marie Michigan

This image was shot on a beach waaaaaay up north in S.S. Marie Michigan. I was not the photographer for this wedding.... However, I kept a sharp eye on what the photographer was taking pix of (sometimes over her shoulder in the viewfinder hahah!). I was thrilled to capture this image - pure bliss glowing from the bride as she looked into the eyes of her newly named husband.

Here's a sneak peek at my Hall of Fame entry! I won an Honorable Mention again. That means I will be featured in the Hall of Fame book this year. To put the award into perspective... there were around 6,000 layouts this year and they picked ONE of mine.

Yep! Two must be the number in the stars for me (as I told sweet lil Fred). Ok so I immediately became TICKED when the phone rang! LOL I saw it was "unavailable" then I saw **801** (THE HOF hot line number from glorious Utah). Whew! Fred introduced himself and then I yelled:FFFFFRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED! Don't do this to me (all joking of course)! I'm about to burst with twins!!! I was one of the first you called last year. This was torture. blah blah - I really had him laughing! He said he always wanted twins and I asked him when he could GET HERE! AND freakishly enough the call came at 4:21pm -- that's my due date, April 21st.

This is my second Creating Keepsakes HM and my second time entering. I will keep entering until I win top 25!

(ps... I had the twins the day after this call)

New Camera

Isn't she lovely?

After much consideration/research/bugging my Canon friends - I decided to stay with Nikon. The new D80 is packed with features that are similar to the D200 (not in my price range - ever!). I sold my D70 + some lenses on Ebay last month. With the D80 I will be gaining more megapixels (10.75 to be exact!), faster shutter speeds, and 11 points of autofocus (much improved), and an 18-135 lens.

This was a photo shoot that nearly broke my heart when I sat down to edit. Baby Carter was so adorable - he was just perfectly photogenic. And the yawn with the Santa hat - well I must say that is by far the cutest moment in time I've ever captured. Merry 1st Christmas, little guy!

Ok, now if this wasn't the funniest photo shoot we've EVER done...

The idea was to set up the self timer and act like we were in a photo booth (you know, the ones at the mall??). We were laughing so hard every time the shutter clicked! We told secrets, impersonated the Blue Man Group, called Chilltown (er, um Jilltown), saw a deer (LOOK!), did Just Jack (jazz hands), & MOCK...ING...BIRD...YAH! (Dumb and Dumber). Oh, and our favorite of the day - last picture - "yah, you're so sexy, Chanin"! LOL

McDonald's French fries... yummy! No, I didn't go out and get these just so I could take pictures. It's actually for a Design Team project. We were given a questionnaire of a fellow Design Team member. From what we learned about the person, we are to make a scrapbook page about them. My girl is Debbie - she is a fanatic about McDonald's French fries. Don't worry, I didn't eat these all by myself... Rudy helped.

I met Rebecca Wright and her family at the lake this summer. I was thrilled when she called me for a fall photo shoot. Her daughter, Olivia, was decked out in the cutest baby clothes. Her son, Ethan, was a natural. He loved getting his picture taken and goofing around with his dad.

Another Balensiefer!

Ashlyn, class of 2007, was the third one to graduate of the Balensiefer kids. I shot her brothers, class of 2005 and 2006. Ashlyn was so photogenic!

We split her time up into 2 different sessions. The first session was with curly hair. We went to an abandoned green house and Clegg Gardens. The second session was with straight hair. We went to the "beach" and Happy Hallow park. We captured some great fall colors.

Kaitlin McCool really had a knack for modeling! We split her photo sessions up into a spring and fall shoot.

The spring shoot started off as a disaster! The field of flowers we were going to shoot in was unexpectedly PLOWED! ugh!

We drove around until we found a field and saved the shoot!

The fall shoot location was at Clegg Gardens. Kaitlin fell in love with another one of my hats which she proudly flaunted ever so gracefully in the pictures!

Her sister, Shana, also joined in on the fun for a sis's pic.
